It’s safe to say that we can consider mistakes an inescapable part of life. Some are small like when we forget to charge our phones or drinking a strong cup of coffee before we planned on getting a good night of sleep. Other times we may slip into blunders that ripple out and have negative affects on the people and things we care about the most. The mistakes we make can lead to guilt which becomes a filter that covers the decisions we make, the way we view ourselves, and the way we interact with the people around us.
It is important that we begin to replace that filter of guilt and condemnation with the Word of God. We can begin to allow what He says about us and how he see’s us to become the base line of how we see ourselves. That, in turn, will effect the way we handle each mistake we make. Being intentional to filter our perspective through the Word of God allows us to move forward with grace and leads us straight into a closer relationship with Him. When we go to Christ for forgiveness, in HIm we are able to walk in freedom no matter what we have done. He has not changed His mind about the gifts and callings He has placed on your life. In fact He factored in every mistake we have and will ever make and He still called us and choose us for a purpose.

The enemy tries to use every experience we have to impact our perspective in an effort to drive us away from the Lord. Every time we fail and fall short he beings to feed us lies. He tells us that if we fail then we are failures and that we aren’t good enough and don’t deserve to be forgiven. No matter where we are in life or what we have done we can choose to believe what the Word of God says about us.
Choosing to believe God over satan’s lies takes practice and an intentional washing of our minds with scripture. To help jump start this process I have compiled a list of scriptures showing God unconditional love for us. Take them. Memorise them. Write them on your mirrors so you see them every morning. Write them on your heart to began to guard you from the enimes lie.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”
Romans 3:23-24 NIV
“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
Philippians 4:13 NIV
“as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.”
