Are You Looking For Jesus?

Is Jesus Really The Answer?

Matthew chapter 11 starts out with the Prophet John in prison. He finds him self sending word to Jesus asking him one major question. Are you the one we are looking for?

It should be easy to find common ground with the emotional state John must have been experiencing. Most of us are all to acquainted with our own personal prison. Whether it was built through life’s unforeseen circumstances or bars of our own making we all want to know, is Jesus really what I’m looking for? Will prayer really get me through this? Will the bible really have the answers.

Jesus replies with words that still have so much relevance to us today.

I beleive those are the words the Lord would speak to each of us. He is still opening eyes to see light, truth, and love. He is still bringing healing to the wounded and dieing parts of minds and hearts. He’s bringing life to every part of our souls.

Jesus is the answer that all us us are looking for. He put that need to feel accepted, loved, and understood down on the inside us and that is a whole that no one else can fill. A life with Christ does not mean we will not go through ups and downs. It means we will never go through it alone, and that there is nothing in our path that he will not bring us through.

The world depicts Christian’s as disconnected from reality but a true relationship with Jesus makes us aware of the pain of others and draws us to them the way he is drawn to us.

The Word says that he is easily touched with the things that we go through. He is eager to walk life with us Hand in hand.

The interesting part of Matthew 11:15 is that Jesus lists ministering to what would be considered the“ least of these” as one of his miracles. He is the ipidimy of unconditional love and he cares personally and deeply for each and every one us.

Do Christians Still Question God?

John at this point was well seasoned in his ministry and still came to a place of wondering confusion. I believe that no mater where we are with our walk Christ we always need reassurance and reminders that he his for us.

Some days we pray strong powerful mouthing moving prayers, sometimes It‘s more of a I believe but help my in believe kind of vide. It is important to remember that

God can handle our questions and uncertainty. In fact, taking our questions to Him falls under the “seek and find” category and God can use your willingness to be honest as the door to show us more about him.

God is the answer and allowing him to be apart of every circumstance is an everyday decision. Invite him right where you are and trust him to lead you where you need to be.

What Do We Do When We Are Questioning God?

If You find yourself questioning God than than I would encourage you to spend more time with him. Worshiping, praying, and reading our bibles are the ways that we connect with the Lord and allows him to communicate with us. That is how we the Lord be apart of our everyday lives in a real and tangible way.

God is the father to the fatherless. A friend to those lonely and in need. He is the healer of the broken and the lifter of our heads. He does not just have the answers he is the answer.
