Wait Its Not Them?? It’s Me??

It has been a while since I have written a post. Even yet, this one won’t be very long. I just wanted to talk to you about a few things the Lord has shown me.

I have recently been going through a tough time at work. Really, who can’t relate to that? I felt swamped, under appreciated, and over worked. Through out this time I thought the lesson God wanted me to learn was to keep my emotions steady while under tremendous pressure. I studied plenty of scriptures about standing on Gods word through tough times. I am now under the impression that the Holy Spirit lead me through these studies to prime my heart for what God really wanted to say to me. Which was, Shereyl, its not them its you. As soon as I heard this in my spirit I went to work rebuking the enemy. I was sure that was him at play trying to tear down my confidence about how I was handling things, but sure enough it was the Holy Spirit. I know it was God because when I come up with my own list of short comings, or worse, when I let the devil weigh in I feel weighed down and condemned. But at this revelation I actually felt liberated and ready to go at my day from a new angle.  You see, I had spent my time in prayer venting to God about what everyone else should be doing that I forgot to keep my eyes on my own paper. God loves to interfere when people stand in the way of purpose. Let’s take into account Daniel and Joseph. Both had people actively trying to sabotage their success. Both focused on excelling in integrity while allowing the Lord to come to their defense.

Each day I ask the Lord for grace and mercy to do my part and do it well. I also ask for God’s favor to be on the part that I cannot control, knowing that He can work all things out for my good. I know, and believe, that if I trust the Lord and do my best, that God can turn my situation into something more than it would be if everything went the my way. The same goes for you! Simply put, let go and let God. It sounds a little old school but it works!

Remember, you can be all that God has called you to be. You can do that God has called you to do. And have everything the word of God says you can have. And so can I!
